Al-Miqias can help you avoid the potential for
catastrophic consequences and financial losses with
early detection of problems before they cause damage,
operating inefficiencies in-service failure. We have the
capability to perform NDT for pipe line, tanks, pressure
vessels and boilers in accordance with ASME, AWS, API,
AISC & other known international codes.

Title for these trexts:

Visual Inspection (VT)

Is a fundamental inspection technique that relies on the trained eye of an expert to identify flaws and irregularities in equipment without the need for additional tools. Visual inspection can be used for internal and external surface inspection of a variety of equipment types, including storage tanks, pressure vessels, piping, and other equipment.

Dye Penetrant Testing (PT)

liquid penetrant inspection (LPI) also called Dye penetrant inspection (DPI), or penetrant testing (PI), is a widely applied and low-cost inspection method used to locate surface-breaking defects in all non-porous materials (metals, plastics, or ceramics).

Magnetic Particle Testing (MT)

For detection of surface and near surface flaws in ferromagnetic material, Magnetic Particle Testing or MPT is used. Hand-held prods, flexible cables, electromagnetic or a permanent magnet is used to apply a magnetic field to the specimen, which is local or overall.

Ultrasonic Testing (UT)

Ultrasonic Inspection is a very useful and versatile NDT method. It is sensitive to both surface and subsurface discontinuities. the important applications are flaw detection, thickness measurement, weld inspection and material characterization. this test covers a wide range of materials, such as metals, castings, various types of plastics, glass and even composite materials.

Ultrasonic Thickness Measurement (UTM)

Al-Miqias makes use of this NDT technique in a professional way in situations where an inspector has acoess to only one side of a part whose thickness must be determined, such as the case of a pipe or tube, or where simple mechanical measurement is impossible or impractical for other reasons such as part size or acoess limitations.

Positive Material Identification (PMI)

Positive material identification (PMI) is an essential non-destructive testing (NDT) method utilized to verify that supplied materials conform to the proper standards and specifications. As a result, assurance can be gained that the chemical makeup of the metallic parts has the correct percentage of key elements. AL-MICIAS offers PM testing services through experienced, trained personnel who can assure quality of the service. The material scan and testing services can be performed on-site before the pieces go into the production process.

X-Ray &. Crawler X-Ray (RT)

RT method utalizes penetrating radiation, typicallyX rays, to inspect the internal structure of an object. it can be used for a wide variety of material types with varying density, ability to inspect assembled components, minimum surface preparation required, sensitivity to changes in thickness corrosion, voids, cracks and material density changes, the ability to detect both surface and subsurface defects and the ability to provide a permanent record of the inspection. Al-Miqias supplies a complete line of radiographic services for both shop and field applications. Our staff of qualified, certified, professional radiographers operate within strict safety parameters and produce high quality radiographs that allow us to utilize our interpretation skills honed through many years of experience to determine if an anomaly is actually a defect or can be accepted per code requirements.

Phased Array Ultrasonic Testing (PAUT)

Al-Miqias is the first company in whole Iraq who can provide PAUT test Phased array ultrasonics (PA) is an advanced method of ultrasonic testing that has applications in medical imaging and industrial nondestructive testing. Common applications are weld inspection, material characterization complex ceametries inspection and provide real time imaging. To test or interrogate a large volume of material, a conventional probe must be physically scanned (moved or tumed) to sweep the beam through the area of interest. In contrast, the beam from a phased array probe can be focused and swept electronically without moving the probe. The beam is controllable because a phased array probe is made up of multiple small elements, each of which can be pulsed individually at a computer-calculated timing. The term phased refers to the timing, and the term array refers to the multiple elements. Phased array ultrasonic testing is based on principles of wave physics, which also Have application in field such as optics and electromagnetic antennae.

Phased Array Ultrasonic Testing (TOFD)

TOFD is a reliable NDT Technique used ta inspect welds fon flaws. sensors are placed on each side of weld, with one sensor sending as Ultrasonic beam in to the material and the other receiving reflected and diffracted ultrasound from anonalies and geometric reflectors. By measuring the time of flight of these diffected beams, TOFD accurately detects and sizes flaws, even if they are off-oriented to initial beam direction , major benefits of using TOFD Technique are Relatively is defferent to weld bevel angles and flaw orientation, Precise sizing capability for accurate defect positioning, quick setup and inspection due to a single beam covering a lange area.

AL-MICIAS offers PM testing services through experienced, trained personnel who can assure quality of the service. The material scan and testing services can be performed on-site before the pieces go into the production process. PMI can be utilized on a variety of part sizes - from large complex parts to things as small as the weld fill material on the pieces. Optical emission spectroscopy (OES) technology - in a unit as easy to use as a handheld analyzer. Sparking a revolution in mobile metals analysis, The mobile OES flagship, in a smaller, lighter package, using probe with an integrated ultraviolet (V).
